This is our blog for our 2013-2014 TLLP project.

Welcome to the website for our 2013-2014 TLLP project.  Over the next year, we will be exploring the use of paper and digital graphic texts in our high school English and Native Studies classrooms.  Daniella Czudner, Joe Castagna and Liana Côté will be conducting the project at Holy Names Catholic High School in Windsor, ON.

What is our project?

Our project asks the following questions:

Does the use of paper and digital graphic texts increase student engagement and interest in literacy?

Does the use of technology, in the form of iPads, increase student engagement in assessment and evaluation tasks?

As experienced classroom teachers, with Joe Castagna as LSST support, we will explore the project questions and increase our own knowledge in the area.  We will also share our learning, through this website, a teacher lesson package (lesson plans, handouts, assessment tasks, video and audio lessons) and also a P.D. sharing session with other teachers.

Please stay tuned as we will blog regularly and post our artifacts from the project as it progresses.  We will also post our monthly newsletters, aimed at updating our parents, administrators, fellow teachers and PAC.
